QUIZ RECAP

Well, Quiz Master Lou has made a temporary return to stage by subbing for QM Wesley at Heritage Pizza & Taproom last night.  I was a little rusty but I only fell off the bike a couple of times!  

Newbies Big Dogs Gotta Eat finished last but had fun doing so.  A shout out to Pickles on a Plate who braved the elements to come show their fealty, even though they narrowly finished in fifth place.  To JFFC, QM Lou says, "Great to see you guys again!".  Hadn't touched bases since our old Dunn Bros days.  With 42 points (I call that the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy score), they came in fourth.  A great big thank you to Deadly Alliance, more loyal quiz fans who dodged the rain just to come see their old QM Lou!  (Makes me tear up!)  They profitted a third place win with a free appetizer from HP&TR!  Second place winners Can't Stop the Feeling couldn't stop the victory with their laconic yet friendly composure.  Finally, reigning champs Masen's Computer took home the gold with a sixty point win!  When they achieved thirty-three points in round three, QM Lou had to ponder whether or not they were Free Masens...  (See what I did there?) 

Tip o' the hat to Tommy T., (and whomever else) who wrote up some intriguing questions worthy of the spotlight.  Identifying the beverage Liquid Death as drinking water was appropriately Halloween themed.  I went to their website and noted they had a drop down option that read: SELL YOUR SOUL.  I don't know about you, but I wouldn't consume their product without talking to Faust, first.  Round Three's Theme Round motif was about fruit and boxing.  QM Lou believes an opportunity to have a nice Hawaiian punch got lost, here...  Lastly, the Hand Out Round was brilliant!  Matching the common plant name to its proper Latin designator led to some hilarious presumptions and pronunciations!  Well done!
