QUIZ RECAP

It was my first time hosting at Husick’s Taphouse and this historic BBQ restaurant/bar by the river in scenic Clarksburg does not disappoint.  There was a vein of Halloween through the questions on this All Hallows Eve Eve, with rounds about Halloween candy and famous horror movie quotes (though I must object to the inclusion of Twilight as a horror movie no matter how big of a creep Edward Cullen is).  Team Drafting got off to an early lead, but teams Elementary Dear Watson and Team Soto (who quickly made up ground despite missing out on the first round) were hot on their heels.  They remained close to one another throughout the game until Team Soto pulled off a successful double or nothing in our sixth round, putting them into a comfortable first place.  The winner was a near certainty going into our final round, leaving our other two teams to duke it out for second place.

In the end, Team Soto held onto their first place spot and claimed the trivia crown of the week (along with a $25 gift card for Husick’s), team Elementary, My Dear Watson took the second place spot (along with a $15 gift card), while team Drafting took third place (along with a $10 gift card).  Come around on Sundays at 5:00 for cold beer, delicious BBQ, and (most importantly in this quizmaster’s opinion) trivia!
