About Hyperion Public - Silver Lake

We are your local neighborhood restaurant and bar where everyone is welcome hence the word "Public" in our name. Our restaurant has a rough luxe decor serving quality food and cocktails, a mix of craft and traditional beers, along with a good selection of wines, in a communal atmosphere. Hidden in the back of the restaurant is our upstairs bar and lounge also serving food and cocktails, that has a jukebox, dartboard, piano, mic, and TVs for sports (Sunday NFL Ticket).

An admirable turnout despite the impending storms at Hyperion Public on Monday night.  The place was packed full of eager young trivia aficionados itching to show the others what they know.  And show they did.

It was Club 1429 who managed to shoot ahead with 3 big doubles, allowing them the points they needed to careen into first.  Yurt was just two members of regulars Backyard Yurt, but they only needed the two to clean up second.  We're Only Here for the Fries took home a second consecutive drinking round, really showing that they know more about music than anyone else.  But it was Advanced Style from Canada who had the best answer of the night, by saying there was a baseball team in Texas called the Austin Astronauts.  Just adorable!
