About Hyperion Public - Silver Lake

We are your local neighborhood restaurant and bar where everyone is welcome hence the word "Public" in our name. Our restaurant has a rough luxe decor serving quality food and cocktails, a mix of craft and traditional beers, along with a good selection of wines, in a communal atmosphere. Hidden in the back of the restaurant is our upstairs bar and lounge also serving food and cocktails, that has a jukebox, dartboard, piano, mic, and TVs for sports (Sunday NFL Ticket).

So many great teams showed up to play trivia at Hyperion Public on Monday night. The greatest of them all happened to be Covidiots, who doubled in rounds 6 and 7 to take the momentum away from The Crescent Rolls, who placed a paltry second. A three way tie for the drinking round allowed Little Lebowski's Urban Achievers to walk away with a free round of drinks, for which they cheered very aggressively. Good fun, good food, good people.

A full seventeen teams came and stayed the whole night at Hyperion Public on Monday night, doubling like madmen in an effort to be crowned the winner. Truly, the winner of the night was Trash Dogs, where Amber dressed in full Elvira costume to win our horror themed costume contest. She knocked it straight out of the park and into the next park, if that's a sports thing. Lebowski's snaked up from behind to steal a win away from Backyard Yurt who led all night. Beautiful Young Boys took second with some well conceived doubles. A really fantastic night all around.

A tight but fun turnout at Hyperion Public on Monday night, with 8 teams competing right up until the very end. Monica AldamaRama broke away with an early lead, but it was The Racous Dukakis Caucus who got away with a win at the finish line. It was nice to see the familiar and friendly faces of Seize the D, as it has been many months since we've seen them.
