With the heat fading and Fall in the air, it seemed like the perfect weather for a trivia storm fo the century! Ring the bell, Quizimodo, it’s time for more King Trivia out at Idle Hour in NoHo!

28 teams joined in battle for the coveted gift cards and free shots, braving the 101 and 405 to arrive into our gridiron. Fueled by the return of the Candy Bucket™, these champions set out to prove their parents wrong and win a pub trivia game!

Round One of course brought a massive tie as these veteran question questers knocked out those easy lay-ups without breaking a sweat. Round Two proved a little more difficult, as apparently few of our teams knew the names of even our most famous Bewitched stars. Yet with this simple round, our leaderboard was forever rent into pieces. Born in the USGay took first place, with Algorithm and Blues close behind in a race to the top.

Round Three presented a Seussian challenge to our heroes, but they charged forward undeterred. With an easier round, the scores moved up but the teams didn’t We’d have to settle our difference down the road with more questions!

Round Four revealed which teams hadn’t done the summer reading, but again didn’t move the dial on the leaderboard! Who was going to unseat the top point hoarders?

As it was National Bald People Appreciation Day (and this QM is a proud follicularly-opposed host) we invited our teams to play a game of “Best Pickup Lines.” With the amazing Carol guest judging, we awarded the free shots (and a hearty slap across the face for being so fresh) to Hooligans!

The winning pickup line? “I know I look like Mr. Clean, but I’m also Mr. Right.”

Round Five went fast and furious, but your couldn’t slip these clues past our quick-witted challengers. In an astounding turn of events, a misplaced double knocked our leader down to 4th place, allowing Algorithm and Blues to leap into first! Not a Car Chase was a point behind in second, and Hooligans nipped at their heels in third.

Round Six kept the points flowing but also kept out teams locked in their respective spots. It was up to the final ten questions to separate the winners from the losers. WHO WOULD IT BE?

As the smoke cleared, we crowned our winners: Algorithm and Blues, Not a Car Chase, and Kingbeez (rising from the ashes in amazing fashion).
