ZOOM THEME EVENT: BASEBALL! RECAP

There was no whiffing tonight -- as all of our teams knocked it out of the park for Baseball Trivia Thursday smack-dab in the middle of the World Series!

First pitch, I mean first q, was right at 7:05 and all of our players were ready to step up to the plate.

The audio round was a bona fide hit as we all reminisced over the greatest calls in baseball history -- and named the player at the heart of each hit heard 'round the world.

Our Find the Connection spelled out Cy Young -- and our picture round asked to name the teams based on their classic, not contemporary, logos.

Looks like we did throw some curveballs out there for you tonight -- and by the end of the night, everyone wanted extra innings!

I could tell you're all real baseball fans by that 🙂

No game is too long, amIrite?

And just like in our favorite nail-biting, hat-turning innings, the game came down to the last round to determine our winner.

Throughout the night, Shrek and Digressionary Funds kept chasing each other -- and Harry Caray's Sombreros.

Despite how they almost didn't get their answer sheet for Round 4 in time, when the dust settled, Harry Caray's Sombreros were deemed safe and our winners of the night!

Also, it was great to chat with Erin, my fellow SF Giants fan, who named her dog POSEY!!!

Posey couldn't stop tail-wagging to the sound of Taylor Swift's beats because hey -- remember, every year Tay releases a new album, the G's win a Ring.

And David, who's related to Babe Ruth very distantly learned a lot from his team -- while his captain Andrew sported both Astros and Mets hats!

It was so great to see jerseys and colors galore -- because hey, if we can't be taken out to the ballgame, at least we can be taken out to the Zoom game 🙂

Also huge shout-out to Harry Caray's Sombreros team member who said great job and is officially the nicest Dodgers fan I've ever met! I guess there are outliers, huh?
