It was an usually cloudy day in San Diego. The dark grey overcast seemed to be an ominous sign of the epic battle that was to take place at Longship Brewery for Tuesday, July 25th.

3 Degrees of Separation was back in action after what they claimed to be a vacation. Rumor has it that they were on a secret trip to the vast libraries of trivia knowledge, located in Suriname, for enlightenment and good fortune in their games to come. Would it pay off?

The game started off close, with three time champs, Indifferent Penguins holding the lead until round 4, when they named the wrong blonde female singer, born in Texas, who married a hockey player. This gave 3 Degrees the opportunity to take the lead, and that they did. The Penguins clawed their way back to even the score for the last two rounds.

For the first time since King Trivia came to Longship Brewery, we had a tie at the end of regulation. The question asked for a specific number. 3 Degrees of Separation almost hit the number on the head to take the very close victory and impressive win.

Other notables - Fan Favorites - Shake N' Bake, won the "drink round" for a second week in a row. New comers, Drinking Illini, joined the game in round four due to the traffic, and still put up exceptional numbers. They may be able to give some of the regular teams a run for their money if they return for a full seven rounds.

Tonight showed that it could always be anyone's game. Will it be yours next week? We hope to see you there!
