QUIZ RECAP
We were happy to be back at Longship, and a little more high and dry as the rain kept at bay. We were also excited to see that Longship Brewery now has Crowlers that you can fill with your favorite beer. They look pretty cool and let you take Longship ale home with you. Make sure to check it out.
This week's game started out with a tight race up until round three, where Pickle Rick! made a successful double or nothing, knowing everything there was to know about the Great Danes. They took the lead and never looked back.
There was a spirited fight for second and third between Cyber Chemists, Hawaiian Time, The Indifferent Penguins, and the Moops - but it would two newcomers to take second and third:
The PQ Legends (who have an adorable dog - picture included) scored high in the final three rounds to snatch third place.
The Nerdy Velociraptor Cookie Dragons were keeping pace, and then in the six round, the two years of Italian that they took in high school finally came in handy, as they were able to translate all ten answers, with the authority to use a double or nothing. They hit all the answers and jumped into second place, and held that slot for the rest of the game.
The Nerdy Velociraptor Cookie Dragons also captured our Beer Round, where we asked all teams to act as travel guides, and give us a brochure for a place we should visit, as well the top three tourist attractions. (The location could be fictional.) The team that sold us the most, would win the beer.
The winning location was "Coolen Placen" - that boasted a populous the consisted of only dogs, and live dinosaurs that were safe.
Some other popular locations:
Pickle Rick! wanted us to go to Mars so that we can see Matt Damon's potatoes. (Think about it.)
Team, Is That Me Beer, wanted us to go to Dublin, so that we could drink real Guinness and whisky with Bono.
The Moops trolled us, by wanting us to go to Philly, where the Super Bowl chances "Came and Wentz."
Lastly, and interestingly, the Indifferent Penguins wanted us to go to the state of Kerala in India - where the main attraction is temples that have statues depicting/explaining what could best be described as "Sensual Yoga."
We hope to see you all next week. See you then!
