The folks here were so wonderful. Stepping into Marco Polo was so familiar even though I'd never been there before. It was exactly the way the tv shows try to capture your friendly neighborhood watering hole. The game went great, with a comeback in the last 2 rounds by our winning team. That Double or Nothing can be a game changer for better or worse!
My favorite answer of the evening was team Quiz on My Face who couldn't remember the name "Dr. Phil"... so they just answered "bald Oprah man with Southern Accent." We all cracked up at that one because I just had to read it out loud.
After the game, I spoke with Team MissFits, aka Lori, Don, and John who have been coming here off and on for 40 years. Seriously!!
Lizzy from The Tough Cookies and I started chatting about Lizzy Borden after the show and it turns out we share a love of historical crime and a TV show called Your Pretty Face is Going To Hell.
Cheers may have just been a TV show, but whatever it was going for can be found at Marco Polo. I'm looking forward to hosting more shows and getting to know the regulars!!
