There's nothing most quizmaster's like better than a funny, timely team name that taps In to the cultural zeitgeist. We had several examples of that very thing this week at Timmy Nolan's Irish Pub in beautiful Toluca Lake.
It's Been a Year (aka Amy Is Always Right) won the night with a terrific score of 73 while sending a chill down our spines by reminding us of the political realities we live with! And Big Dribble in Little China (aka Carpe Trivium) reminded us that President Trump is in the Far East representing America as only he can. Big Dribble finished in 2nd place with 71 - just two points back!
Coming in third (56) with yet another culturally relevant team name was House of Cards Wrap Party, and after chatting with the members of that team, we can report that none of the members were the least bit Spacey, er, I mean spacey.
Big Dribble in Little China (aka Carpe Trivium) is currently ranked at #64 in our League Play, which is important because tickets are now on sale for the big Tournament of Champions set to take place January 20th, 2018. Get your seats while you still can! Tickets are going fast!
And if you haven't already done so, drop in at Timmy Nolan's and join us for frivolity and triviality on some pleasant Wednesday evening, You'll be glad you did. (But be prepared - these players are tough!!)
