About Mudrock's Tap & Tavern

Once you walk through our door, you’re with friends. Locally owned and family operated, Mudrock’s Tap and Tavern brings the best of life’s simple pleasures together so you can relax, relate and share good times with us.

From breakfast biscuits to delicious burgers, wings and everything in between, we use fresh, natural ingredients and source from neighbors whenever possible. We’re constantly tapping and trying beer and most likely, have your favorites on one of our 30 taps.   And yes, the game is always on one of 32 HD screens equipped with every major sports package.

The Mudrock name encapsulates the affinity we have for sports and our town’s community spirit and history. Local Louisville hard-working coal miners and their families loved playing baseball during summer when it was too hot to mine and, being far from pro teams, formed their own clubs. One player, Phil Mudrock, made it to the majors and signed as a pitcher for the Chicago Cubs in 1963. According to the Lousiville Times, he signed his contract right here behind the Miners Field backstop.

Not too bad. And as we like it, not too fancy. Just right.

Another fun night at Mudrock's...and a good game to boot. #momjeans, The Even Primes, and Calibamarado were high scorers in Round one (5 of a possible 6), and newcomers Red Rocket were high scorers in Round 2 (along with Primes and Calibamarado) with 7 out of 8.  In fact, the five eventual finishers were all within a 2-point spread after 3 rounds.  But as usual the Guess Who round began to separate the teams as no fewer than 3 teams took a -1 while Red Rocket got it right ON THE 10-POINT CLUE!! They rode that jump in the score all the way home for the win while the rest of the field vied for 2nd place. The Even Primes finished the final 3 rounds with scores of 10-8-7 (25 of a possible 30 points) to finish runners-up, while #momjeans also scored 25 points over the last 3 rounds to take 3rd. First-timers Calibamarado were in the hunt until an unsuccessful double in Round 6 left them in 4th; Diken Baus were steady throughout,,,but the -1 knocked them out of the running and they took the 5th position.  Thanks all, see you next week!
