QUIZ RECAP

Two days before Thanksgiving and we had a great turnout for trivia! There were a handful of returning teams and a couple that got in on the fun to put the whipped cream on the pumpkin pie of an already great evening.

Our in-house champions, Our Drinking Team Has a Trivia Problem, started out very strong by getting the first two rounds completely right, utilizing a strategic Double or Nothing in the second round and being the only team to correctly identify WKRP in Cincinnati. Tom Hardy also proved difficult to identify, with several teams taking a loss or not being able to answer! Not to mention those pesky Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons...

The final round proved especially challenging for teams as everyone not only had to remember all the Pixar movies, but also if they were deserving of the Oscar. I got to impart my own bit of trivia on everyone after the answers were read as the Best Animated Feature category wasn't introduced until the 2002 ceremony, meaning that Toy Story, a bug's life, Toy Story 2, and Monster's Inc. could not have been answers! There were definitely some groans after that knowledge was dropped.

In the end, we had our fill and before the tryptophan started setting in, our Top 3 were announced, Our Drinking Team Has a Trivia Problem in first, second went to Polish Sausages, and third was given to Little Debbies. Congratulations, all!

Special shoutouts to Polish Sausages who were celebrating a family reunion with some members of their team coming from as far away as Poland! Now the name makes sense...Another shoutout to Arrrrgyle who went big on with a couple of Double or Nothings...even if those gambles didn't exactly pay off.
