Wow what a wonderful night for trivia! We did have a team leave early, but we also had reinforcements arrive at the approval of the other teams. We had newcomers Mom's Night Out go up against long time champs Peter Piper Picked a Peck of Pickled Peppers. As always, the company of our teams are what made trivia amazing tonight.
****************************Fun Trivia Fact of the Week***************
A question in round five asked the element that made up 21% of the earth's atmosphere. People are often surprised that oxygen takes up only 21% of the atmosphere? I mean shouldn't that be more than 21% if it's what we breathe? During the time dinosaurs walked the earth the oxygen content jumped between 15% and 19% and has fluctuated quite a bit. What is also surprising to learn is that today, the oceans are the largest producer of the earth's oxygen content. This is due to photosynthetic organisms that live in the ocean and also just the fact that the planet is more water than land. It was quite a long time before we started having photosynthetic land plants. Additionally, it is strange to think this, but sharks have been around longer than trees! Okay, my brain is a bit scattered in this review, but I hope you enjoyed this info dump.
