QUIZ RECAP

Last week, “Team Juan” aimed for the bushes in round 7, and survived to win the match, and more importantly create everyone’s favorite r-word in competition, rivalry. “Team Juan” and “Jon Wilkes Booth” had been the victors the last two weeks, and this week the two were laser focused on beating each other, with similar styles of play. Round 1 saw “Juan” swinging and missing on a double or nothing, only to make a moonboot leap into first in Round 2 with an effective double. Similarly, “John Wilkes” took the small change in Round 1, but set themselves back with a zero in Round 2. While the heat was on between the previous two champs, some newcomers and mainstays gathered to garner some attention. “Kal & The Topo Chicas” flirted with third, but couldn’t find a connection during the Find the Connection round. “The Who Dat Nation” squandered their chances of joining the winning conversation with two missed doubled rounds, but kept the party rowdy under sea level the whole game. Newcomers, “Burlap Sax” started slow and baritone, but scaled up to third place in the end overtaking “Gulp Hablo Pablo” who drew to big a gulp when the game turned to ten question rounds. From Rounds 5 to 7, “John Wilkes” was nipping on “Juan’s” heels, but could never get him in their crosshairs to take crown. 1st Place “Team Juan” 2nd Place “John Wilkes Booth Can Suck My Fat Lincoln Log,” and 3rd Place “Burlap Sax.”
