QUIZ RECAP

The cranium combats were fierce this week at Oddwood, finishing out it's final week of the summer trivia tournament. Every team fought for their claim to finally dethrone the champion "And the Winner is..." but their crown and jewelry were too blinding for the trailing teams to even hold a minimal grip of their cape while they were in the lead. Once the 2nd round was finished, it seemed as though the rest of the teams were playing on their back foot the rest of the evening. However, the rest of the evening didn't lack comeback attempts from teams in hopes to gain an advantage. Weekly regulars "Cave of Wonders" hovered in the 3rd place position for 4 rounds, and swung for the leading shot in round 6 with their double or nothing, but unfortunately switched two answers in the wrong spot, and nestled themselves in the caboose the rest of the game. Newcomers, "Beanee Weenie, Machinees," took this as an opportunity to earn a little clout among the Oddwooders and swung them into the third place position, and fend off "Quizzie McGuire." Our 2nd place team this week, "Team Juan" accepted the "amor fati" of second place and took their podium prize begrudgingly due to another Taylor Swift round. Cheers to the undisputed champ "And the Winner is..." and to all of the teams for the joy they brought all summer. Cross your fingers that next week has a Florence + the Machine round because the "dog days are over," and we may have a new crowned champ.
