QUIZ RECAP

It was a Festivus Trivia Feud this evening at Oddwood Brewing. While many folks around Lager Lane scampered home for the holidays in fear of looking uneducated, 7 brave teams weathered the beautiful 70 degree weather of Austin, TX to battle their wits this Tuesday. Last weeks champion, "John Wilkes Booth Can Suck My Fat Lincoln Log," decide to take no mercy on any of the newcomers, "Playing until my kids make me leave," "The Love Cabin," "JP" and "Team Neck." "Wilkes" was a team on a mission, doulbing up the first 3 rounds, and running away from the competition in hopes they can make a bigger claim on the King Trivia Winter League play rankings. Regulars "Who Dat Nation" looked lost the first couple rounds, missing a double bonus, and tiptoeing with points. The bartenders, "Antipasto Social Club" were making a claim of glory in second place throughout the night until we got to the final two rounds where they struggled to match the saints, and remember a time they listened to any Bruno Mars song. In the final 3 it was "John Wilkes Booth" running away from the competition faster than Santa on his sleigh, and a tie between "Who Dat Nation" and "Playing until my kids make me leave." Thankfully the kids gave a dad an opportunity to shoot for second, but come up just short with the consolation of a free four pack courtesy of Oddwood Brewing, or maybe dad threw the tiebreaker purposely just to have a couple more private moments form the kids.
