About Paragon

Allen Adams was born and raised in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley and has over twenty years of experience in the restaurant, nightclub and bar business. Allen cut his teeth managing the The Shark Club in downtown LA. While working at the Shark Club, Allen learned the importance of treating customers in such a way that garnered incredible loyalty and a multitude of return clientele. Allen moved on to be the bar manager of the Seafood Broiler and Milano’s Italian kitchen. Allen always strived to create a personable environment where the customer would feel comfortable and want to be a part of. He always puts the customer’s needs first and foremost. Allen decided after years of being in the business to venture out and open the Paragon Bar and Grill. Along with partner “CJ” Willis, their goal was to create a place in Northridge that would give the feel of going to Hollywood or Downtown, without the long drive or potential pretentiousness.

Everything we do here at Paragon Bar and Grill is prepared fresh, from our handmade cocktails, to our snacks and all of our food. Our menu was created by executive chef Greg Schroeppel. Greg has worked with Wolfgang Puck and has done a great job putting a menu together for you. Our goal is to provide the best service, drink and food in the Valley.

Jeffrey Jameson subbing in at the Paragon this week!

Lively teams made for an exciting match. While things stayed fairly even for the first few rounds, a little well placed faith and a few consequential double downs sent a few of our teams plummeting to the bottom of the scoreboard, never to recover. (Though some, like The Farmers, fought valiantly for an attempt to eke out a comeback.) In turn, this week's KT first place champions, The Bookdrop, grabbed onto the lead by the neck like a wily chicken and refused to let go until the bitter end.

Fueled by a recent Saltburn and rain-related movie binge, the drinking round saw local Paragon serving treasure the lovely Grace lending a hand to judge who among our teams was able to quickly identify the erotic thriller by its sociopathic lead, from Tom Ripley to Kelly van Ryan. Shockingly, most of the teams playing were actually fairly knowledgable in the ways of murder. In fact, it could be said that The Bookdrop seemed to know a little TOO much...but ultimately the drinks went to our fourth placers 'I'm Not Racist, But...'

Though most of our teams were familiar with the ouevre of the legendary red lipped Ms. Swift, they regrettably were less familiar with her Billboard charting hits, which saw CarJackSmith and Roomies creep just ahead of I'm Not Racist But and ended our game. Hope this week doesn't leave our intrepid triviata voyagers with any bad blood...

'Til next time. - jj
