What's better than King Trivia at Pitfire Pizza in Manhattan Beach on a Tuesday night? I mean, craft pizzas and brews, rocking tunes and trivia! What more could you ask for? Nine teams formed tonight in hopes of knocking off the current kings, Our Combined IQ Is...! They had their work cut out for them, as OCIQI... has won 4 in a row and tonight would Strive For Five! OCIQI... took the early lead by being the only team to double round 1. They held the lead by 7 points going into round 6, but could only muster 3 correct answers for that round. There's A Snake In My Boot was able to get 5 right and was only down by 5 going into the final round, with Del Boca Vista Phase 2 right behind them by 3 points. Well, all three teams got 10 points naming airlines in the final round giving Our Combined IQ Is... Their 5th victory in a row! (I will have special crowns for them to wear next week!) There's A Snake In My Boot came in second, and Del Boca Vista Phase 2 took 3rd! Del Boca Vista Phase 2 also won the free dessert round, which worked out perfectly as team member Aarin was celebrating her birthday. Happy-Happy, Aarin! 🙂
