QUIZ RECAP

We had a whopping 11 teams come out tonight to spend their evening playing trivia and a fabulous time was had by all, packing Rocco's of Westwood on a Monday.

RIP Tina Marie Carter held onto their lead in Rounds 1-6, roaring ahead of the competition through each round -- until a successful double down choice by Dr. P Fan Club caused a very unexpected plot twist, with Dr. P landing first place with 82 points.

DP Potluck came in second with 81 points and RIP Tina Marie Carter landed in third with 80 points.

Definitely a very close game all the way up till the end -- but hey, I'll reiterate what I said during that final round when I said okay, okay I understand if y'all want to go through the Five Stages of Grief (of not winning trivia tonight) but let's speed up to Acceptance and accept that trivia comes round every week and next week is your shot for glory!

Also huge shoutout to Marie Kondo This Bussy for winning the Drinking Round!

So we discovered that everyone watches more basketball than they do action films. Many successful double downs on Round 6 proved that our teams tonight knew their NBA players' nicknames like the backs of their hands but no one could guess (for the Drinking Round) The Rock's highest-grossing movie, which was...a wild and rip-roaring Jumanji!

That's okay though because many guessed his second-highest-grossing movie which was Furious 7. Because hey it seems like The Rock just finds the right franchises -- or the fans just find him and he keeps churning out more sequels.

Well, let's find each other at Rocco's Westwood next Monday. We can relax, play, and only your Quizmaster Sanyee will be doing the laboring on Labor Day Monday on your behalf. Just kidding. Trivia hosting is so fun it doesn't even feel like work 🙂 What other job starts at 9pm, and lets me have such a good time with a crowd of fantastic people to enliven up a Monday night?
