About Schilling Cider House

Seattle's only 100% craft cider tap house, with 8 dedicated Schilling cider taps, 24 rotating taps, 2 of which are on Nitro. We feature predominately PacNW ciders, but frequently have craft ciders from England, France, Spain and of course the rest of the USA. We specialize in "you call it" flights of 6 ciders, but have 10oz and pint pours of course!

We have zero corkage on bottles and are the perfect place to get a growler fill of your favorite cider below 7% ABV. We don't have food, but you can bring in whatever food you like to pair with your cider and we host monthly potlucks.

Free Wi-Fi and games are available, so pull a stool up to our big shared tables and make a new friend!

QUIZ RECAP

This week, seasoned King Trivia veterans Leave Room for Jesus (the artists formerly known as Sith Happens and Trivia Neutron Bomb) returned to the ring to defend their title, while enthusiastic newcomers Hangin' with Epstein fought for that top slot until they were, er, blue in the face. How did the Trivia Gods award the ultimate prize? Read on to find out...

Round 1's General Knowledge ended in a dead heat, with Leave Room for Jesus, Hangin' with Epstein, and You're a Quizard, Harry all tying for first, while Menopausal Gandalf, Toto, We're Not in Kansas Anymore, and the Motherf***ing M&Ms kept in a close second. Round 1's biggest shocker? Not one single team knew the name of Demi Lovato's sixth studio album...which, let's face it, is probably not a bad thing.

Round 2's "Babies...Assemble!" theme was right in Hangin' with Epstein's wheelhouse, and they showed their stuff with a perfect double-or-nothing round. Not to be outdone, almost all of our other teams doubled up on this round as well, keeping it close for the duration of the game.

Round 3 threw some (double!) D's on that b***, with a hotly contested alliterative round. While one team attempted to double-or-nothing, the Quizmaster's ruling kept them from dominating this round, and our top seven teams ended in a relatively close heat.

Round 4 and Round 5 kept it a close game, with a solid performance across all teams in both sets of questions.

This crew showed their Thanks for T- Hanks in Round 6, with 4 teams naming all ten Tom Hanks characters correctly for the double-or-nothing. And, finally, we saw a strong performance from several teams in Round 7.

While we had so many strong teams in play this week, it stayed a close game between our winners (technically defending champions) Leave Room for Jesus, second-place finishers Hangin' with Epstein, and close third You're a Quizard, Harry. In addition to their second-place win, Hangin' with Epstein took the "best team name" category. Best, or most groan-worthy? Why not both.

It was great to see a record crowd come out for trivia night at Schilling Cider. Will someone finally overthrow the Leave Room for Jesus/Sith Happens/Trivia Neutron Bomb dynasty next week? There's only one way to find out...

...tune in next Monday at 7pm for another rousing round of King Trivia at Schilling Cider House!
