In one of my favorite Find the Connection rounds ever, the connection was references to The Office, so it feels appropriate that these highlights of the night should also be filled with Office References.

Slater's 50/50 is a venue perfectly suited for trivia, even more so than The Office's Liberty Well, and it proved the perfect battleground for the evening's trivia teams. It was instantly clear that Ken would be the Oscar Martinez of the group. Ken was knowledgable about a wide breadth of topics, approaching trivia with confidence and intellect. Other teams gave Ken a run for his money though.

In the Office's Trivia episode, Oscar famously loses to Dunder Mifflin's "just for fun" team, The Einsteins. Similarly, I thought we might have an Einsteins situation when Team Jazz rose from third place to second place and trailed closely behind Ken. Then, in a final twist, Team Jazz pulled a Michael Scott and quit just as things were getting good! They had to leave right before the final round, leaving Ken to secure first place and allowing Purple Lightning to slide their way into second.

In the end the night felt very much like an episode of The Office, there was laughter, there was drama, and several teams walked away with prizes even better than Dundees: real life gift cards to Slaters 50/50.
