QUIZ RECAP

We had a lot of excitement tonight at the Snoqualmie Brewery and Taproom with our most teams yet - 6! Like the weather, both the competition and fun are heating up - so come be a part!

Four teams returned, all past winners - Jehovah's Witness Protection Program, The Nasty New Yorkers, Quizzards (aka the excellent alternate name "Dublin or Nothin"), and the High School Dropouts - along with two new teams - Ru Rey and The Games. While The Games unfortunately left early, the provided some of the most fun and creative answers of the evening, and though they may not have scored lots of official points, they did earn a bunch of personal points. First and foremost, we aim to have a fun evening, regardless of points (though points are certainly nice).

Speaking of points, the Jehovah's Witness Protection Program pulled into a strong early lead with a successful Double-or-Nothing plus the 2 points for including their team number (remember to sign up your team and put the team number on the trivia book form for 2 free points in the first round!). Last week's winner, the High School Dropouts, also went for Double-or-Nothing, but unfortunately missed one earning them zero points - they were being humble returning champions, giving the other teams a chance.

Jehovah's maintained their lead for the rest of the game, earning 1st place for their second time. Meanwhile, 2nd and 3rd had tough competition with the four remaining teams (after The Games left). After a tricky "Guess Who?" Round 4, the rounds became more challenging, increasing the race for the places. The Nasty New Yorkers managed to eke ahead with enough points to secure 2nd place. And while we were so close to a 3-way tie, Quizzards, aka Dublin or Nothin, managed to gain one more point than both Ru Rey and the High School Dropouts to end up in 3rd place.

Beer tip of the evening: the Snoqualmie Brewery has a BUNCH of great beers on tap. While each are good on their own, try experimenting with some mixing - such as the Double Brown Ale with the Powerhouse IPA. The rich taste of the DBA pairs nicely with the light, refreshing IPA. A 50-50 ratio should be the right mix.

Come be part of the fun next Wednesday at 7pm!

See you soon!
