QUIZ RECAP

Welcome one and all. Tuesday night is night for King Trivia at Spud Monkey’s. It was a wild one. Maybe it was the weather but the evening was full of twists and turns and even breaks of sunshine and rainbows!

It was great to see new faces and host new teams. We had 3 new teams this week. Pacific Rim Job, Fitzmania! and FUD. Let’s unpack how the night went, but first a word from our sponsors…

The first round Witless Wonders started round 1 out with bang. They hit it out the park in the first inning with a perfect 6/6 and doubled it bringing their round 1 total to 12. FUD came in with a solid 4. Pacific Rim Job put 3 on the board, and Fitzmania started round one off with 1 point.

But it was still anybody’s game. 

Round two

Witless Wonders added another 6 points to jump up to 18 points, FUD maintained their position in 2nd with 6 points. Pacific Rim Job had a total of 2 and Fitzmania! kept their score at 1 point.

I should mention that by round 3 it was clear that FUD and Witless Wonders had a bit of friendly rivalry going on. FUD was later disclosed and a homage to Dan, on of the members of Witless Wonders. The love was definitely in the air! (sarcasm)

By round 4 Witless Wonders had extended their lead to 38, (another perfect round in for round 3) but FUD remained on their heels, and in their ears. The trash talking only added to the drama. Pacific Rim Job unfortunately experienced technical difficulties and was unable to continue after round 4 but Fitzmania! put another -1 point on the board for a total of 1 after 4 rounds.

Round 6 Witless Wonders and FUD were neck and neck, or rather at each others necks. You had to be there.

Fitzmania! ended round 6 with 12 points. FUD concluded round 6 with 27 points and Witless Wonders continued in their leadership by leaving round 6 with 54 points.

Now for the 7 and final round. It was a great game of camaraderie, liquid courage, spuds and anthems. Everyone who participated left a champion!

Now the final scores were as follows. After 7 rounds of play, Pacific Rim Job ended the night with 7 points. Fitzmania! walked away with 3rd place with 18 points. In second place and voted The Most Lit Team Ever, by yours truly— FUD, with 31 points. And your 8 times in a row champion, Witless Wonders with 62 points!

A shout out to all of the players and the teams that made the night a wild and special one. If you weren’t there, you missed out. But don’t worry, we’ll be back next week Tuesday at 7PM.
