About Strand Brewing Co

Founded with the support and love from friends and family in 2009, Strand was one of the first craft breweries in Los Angeles County.

Strand is not only proud to represent the beginning of the craft beer movement in LA, but the future of it as well. The brewery is located on the southern coast of Los Angeles County, nestled amongst the sleepy beach communities collectively known as The South Bay.

Strand Brewing Company is owned and operated by lifelong friends Rich Marcello and Joel Elliott.

A very unexpected but most welcomed evening at Strand Brewing Co., when 10 teams showed up for KingTrivia. A number of our regulars, mixed in with some new comers made for a very fun evening.

Round 2 saw 4 teams double correctly and turns out 3 of them took the top 3 spots. It was a competitive match throughout and had 2 very fun team names. Brew-Dolph(the red-nose rein-beer) and Sleigh Me Harder Santa. I get a kick out of these creative names. Anyway, the most impressive team was Pussy Posse. They were right in the thick of it until Round 5 when they doubled but missed 1 question. They put Caution for the answer to #5 and the answer was Warning. There was some debate but I stuck with Warning. So what did they do you ask? They doubled in Rds. 6 and 7 and nailed them both! Needless to say this propelled them into the $30 gift certificate and the coveted picture with IronMan. Sleigh Me Harder Santa took 2nd and Great Minds Drink Alike hurt their chance of qualifying for the Tournament by taking 3rd but still some time to go so they are hopeful.
