After the first round tonight, where every single team scored 5 points, I was faced with a major question: would tonight end in an all-way tie??? And if so, would that be a King Trivia first?????
Fortunately, the next round put that worry to bed, with Mistresses of Quizzo living up to their name doubling a perfect round and taking a strong lead, carrying that momentum throughout the game and bringing home the eternal glory of a first place finish. School Night also played a great game, easily taking second place, but the third place finish was the real nail biter, eventually going to I Don't Pay Child Support (I'm hoping these folks aren't parents).
This being the season of giving, I'm going to go ahead and spotlight some of our teams that didn't quiiiiiite make it to the top three. As a Quizmaster, I love all my teams equally, but I have to admit that I was rooting for The Pub Meds, our eventual fifth place finishers, who were in second to last place for most of the game before a fantastic leap forward in the sixth round. In fourth place was MalCat, who blessed us with perfect rounds 2-4 and then left to make their dinner reservations.
