QUIZ RECAP
Tonight was my thirty-something time hosting trivia and it ranks near, if not at, the top. My birthday is tomorrow and I could think of no better way to ring in the occasion than at one of my favorite places (The Bungalow) doing one of my favorite things (trivia).
Before I even walked in the door, one of my friends arrived before I did to send the energy was feeling good. She was right! We had a total of 17 teams join us tonight and around 70 players.
I'll admit, I made more references to my birthday than I planned to, but the crowd was into it! I loved seeing my regulars who have become my friends and newcomers as well. Everyone stuck through all the rounds and cheered at every correct answer.
The cherry on top of the evening is when I thought the night was over after the final scores were read and the winners were announced, but the entire bar sang me happy birthday. I nearly teared up! I was so touched by the gesture and am truly grateful for the community I've found through trivia.
