When Eulogenia, Goddess Of Funeral Speeches, was told she had only five minutes to give her dad’s eulogy, she was appalled. “You tell me now?” she asked the Priest. “Right before going on? You couldn’t have told me this two months ago when he died?” (Before you ask: “A eulogy for a god? How does a god die?”, ask yourself this: “What business of mine is it how a godly family tree grows?”) The turnout for the funeral was such that the congregation filled up the entire northern hemisphere of the planet. “Look,” argued the Priest, “it’s amazing we found a church big enough to accommodate this many people!” “But he lived to five thousand years. I should at least get five thousand seconds,” she explained. “But that’s close to ninety minutes,” retorted the priest, “I’ve never officiated a funeral with a eulogy that lasted ninety minutes! Half the world will be asleep!” “How did you do that math so quickly?” she eyed him suspiciously. The two went at it like this in front of the entire congregation for five full minutes, which was the allotted time for the eulogy in the first place. “Time!” declared the Priest, and the crowd was relieved. Tonight’s Drinking Round was a Gollum Off: the best Gollum impression would win free drinks for their team. Someone from Post-Pink got up and used the word “raw” in their impression and, well, let’s just say they won. Free drinks!
