When Billiardea, Goddess Of Pool, sunk her last bank shot in front of four million other gods, she thought for sure they’d let her go home. “More!” they yelled. “Whattaya mean more?” said Bill (to her fiends), “there’re no more balls left.” And, as if on cue, a torrent of heavy, skull-cracking balls descended onto the table which simultaneously expanded to the size of half the universe. “Play on,” said a disembodied chair umpire.” “Since when does billiards have a chair umpire?” asked Bill, knowing, of course, that the sport had officials, but not one who sat in an elevated chair. And before she could do anything, a mass of newly arrived billiard balls fell before her, forcing her to continue shooting for the gods’ entertainment. Bill thought: “What can I do to get outta this?” She acted quickly. She picked up all the remaining billiards ball and, instead of shooting them, started juggling them. “No one likes a juggler!” she yelled. And boy was she right! In about a nanosecond, all the gods were gone and table had folded back up into a sliver of quickly disappearing light. Moral? If you wanna get out of performing, start juggling. Here’s the point: The only juggling tonight was from the host trying to juggle the entertainment needs of thirty people. Let’s talk:
