When Cardoneus, God Of Playing Cards, put the finishing touches on his house of cards at the One Billionth Annual House Of Cards Contest, it was clear to the Judges and the assembled masses that he had gone above and beyond the contest’s requirements by fashioning not just a to-scale three-bedroom two-bathroom house replete with garage and electric car hook up, but also a hot tub in the backyard. “It’s just too much,” declared one Judge. And for the first time, Card (to his friends) had been disqualified for being, yes, too good. “Might I draw your attention to this very universe we all float in right now as well as the planet Mercury?” Everyone looked and sure enough: sometime between the Judge announcing Card’s disqualification and his accepting of the ruling, Card has fashioned, at lightening speed, a full size replica of the universe using sixteen quintrillion decks of Hoyle playing cards. “Impressive,” intoned the Judges at the exact same time, “but our decision stands.” Here’s the point: On trivia night, there’s is NO such thing as doing too well.
