QUIZ RECAP
Leave it to King Trivia Pub Quiz to come up with appropriate question sets for
March 14, the official International Pi Day. Because, 3.14 are the first set
of numbers for that irascible (or would that be irrational?) mathematical constant.
And too, Pi is also pie, and you can have a lot of fun with that because pie is
also a euphemism. Pies are round and Pi is the ratio of a circle, so no matter
where you go, there you are! (But let's not go around in 2's on this...)
Interestingly enough, Albert Einstein was born on 3.14 and he was someone who
probably knew a lot about Pi. Likewise Michael Caine, but I'd guesstimate it
was pie he knew about; And, while I'd ask Albert about Pi, I'd also ask Michael
about pie, because he was in The Man Who Would be King and probably cut open the
pie from which four and twenty black birds came, which is something else Michael
would know about because he was all over birds in the 60's. What's it All About,
Michael?
Now, as for Archimedes and Madhava-Leibenz, they dabbled in Pie while expounding
on Pi, but are better known for the Death Ray and practically unknown for the
rare but strange Curry-Schnitzel pie, respectively. How's that for symmetry
you say? Well, do your own research, damn it!
I could go on, but as the time-space continuum is curved, I will eventually
come back upon myself, so I already have! So until next week, have a piece
of pie until we meet again... w.e me.et a.gain... we m.eet ag.ai.n...
