QUIZ RECAP

It was either the brave and the foolhardy or the sane and the sensible who turned out for
last night's King Trivia Pub Quiz at ye old Lion and Crown Public House in Watter's
Creek. This current Coronavirus craze has crippled communal comingling quite capably.
Or... Has the media managed to manipulate the misgiving minded masses into morosely
missing most multitudiness meetings?!? Quiz Master Lou thinks it likely that it be a
little bit of both. But, you be the judge!

Seven teams of competitors with clean hands who never touched their faces (well, except
this one guy, but no one went near him) came out in defiance of the pall that has swept
the world, just to play the trivia quiz and imbibe some spirits, thus lifting their own.
You know, every age has its ambulance drivers, its grave diggers, its bell ringing
corpse cart tenders doing public service who diligently patrol the streets crying,
"Bring out your dead!" It is to them we felt akin last night, as one player quipped to
QM Lou on his way out last night, "Hey Lou, what goes best with a Coronavirus?"
"I dunno, Steve. What goes best with a Coronavirus?"
"Lyme disease!" I make no apologies. You be the judge. After all, in the end, we are
all judged one day...

Deadly Alliance (aka Blood, Bath & Beyond) captured first place and clung onto it (like
a dying man?) until the end. Beer Logic was running third all night until the very last
round when they overtook the constant second place holders, Street Smarts, with the names
of a few alkaline elements, pulling the old switcheroo quite successful like. A nice
question set from our quiz writers completed the evening's quiz.

In the meantime, stay clean and healthy, practice good hygiene and eat lots of garlic!
Not only does it keep vampires away, its a great source of vitamin C! No, really!
