The Lion & Crown Pub, an English-style pub with a large and varied menu, is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. serving lunch, dinner and daily specials. The pub also offers a wide selection of fine wines and 38 beers on tap. Guests can watch sporting events on one of the many large TV screens or enjoy a nice night out on the patio. Different drink specials are available every day and live music on Friday and Saturday.
What a wonderful night! We had six teams show up and two Tie
Breakers! Everybody was happy and cordial. A time to shelve
one's worries and relax.
Deadly Alliance knocked it out of the park with two successful
Double-or-Nothing's back to back in Rounds Five and Six respectively.
That put them way out front for an easy First Place Win.
Pickles on a Plate won the Tie Breaker with Dallas Booler's
Club placing Second and Third. The other tie was between
the FNG's and River Rats for Fourth and Fifth. Both teams
gave the same exact answer on the Tie Breaker question so had
to have a tie breaker for the tie breaker! This was settled
the old fashioned way with a representative from each team
coming up on stage and engaging in a contest of Rochambeau
(Rock, Paper, Scissors). After a false start, FNG's paper
covered rock and they took the fourth place position. Whew!
Our question sets proved once more that Americans eat out a
lot, that Jane Austen and geography don't mix and that Ocean's
Eleven makes a great source of querries for Find-the-Connection.
