QUIZ RECAP

The VIBE:

Weird night. I should have known because the lights were practically off. All good though. I like hosting in the dark.

The GAME:

Round 1 was a love it or hate it round.

***A 6th team joined us at this point****

Round 2/Pictures and Round 3 may have been the easiest back-to-back rounds I have seen in weeks - which I can appreciate every once in a while because it gets the newbies all excited (for at least a minute or two).

Moving on.

I was baffled and slightly depressed by the lack of musical theatre knowledge by the teams. (But again, I shouldn't get so damn emotional sometimes, right?!) Anyways, it was Round 4/Guess Who. After telling them "he went into hiding as an adult inside one of the buildings he constructed...and he has been played on screen by Robert Englund, Charles Dance, Lon Chaney, and Gerard Butler", I expected everyone to come rushing up. What did I get? One team. And a wrong answer at that. (sigh)

Round 5/Find the Connection was a little bit of a pick me up as we headed into....

The Drinking Round. I prefer not to comment. We made it threw though. (Also, I'm going to try it again another night - so I'll keep the spoilers to myself)

Round 6 was a solid round of play....which made up for the worst round aka Round 7. It's not that these were extra tough questions, but somehow the entertainment categories were discordant with the players' strengths. Eh. Whatevs.

Let's see how this all played out....shall we?

The RESULTS:

The team that peculiarly called themselves "Sex" (12 points) consisted of one younger female and an older homeless lady who apparently wandered in off the street. This is completely true. I can't make this up. Well, I could...but I'm not. Anyways. The younger one became a bit too drunk to even finish the game and they both left in the middle of Round 6....hopefully to live happily ever after? Damn. I really wish I knew how that story ended.

The Late Bloomers (because they came during Round 2) played hard and fought their way to 17 points.

Our 3rd place team, Team Pink (29 points) played a pretty consistent game and also won The Drinking Round (by default - again, no comment).

2nd place - Black Beans n' Rice (40 points) consisted of a rowdy birthday group of ladies. Very fun times and no injuries occurred.

And, taking home the back-to-back wins, and never trailing ....was that funky crazy duo...the Champions of the Night..the..... BoozeCats!!!!! (53 points)
