The GAME:
After the first couple of rounds, the teams were pretty warmed up. The only regular team of the night, Gangrene Gang, took an early lead with 12 points - but that was only because they received their 2 bonus points right out the gate!
(Jealous of their bonus points? Of course you are. Create your team.)
Round 3 was a tough one. In a possible 12 point round, no team scored more than 4 points. And only one team did that!
Flippity-flop-at-the-barber shop....everyone rocked out Round 4/Picture Round to correctly identify F.Scott Fitzgerald .
(Fun Fact: This famous person is his distant cousin).
After Round 5/Find the Connection was finished, we had not only learned a lot about the board game Monopoly, but also had these tight scores from the four teams: 28, 27, 25, and 24.
The Drinking Round was a bachelor party game I played a couple years ago with a bunch of movie buffs out in Asheville, NC. The gist - you grab a DVD and read off the names of the people on the cover. They guess the film. Uh, it's way more fun than it sounds. I promise.
Round 6 ended our 4 way race when the BX Queens went for the double-up and missed. Nice try though!
My home team, Chicago Bears, were one of the answers for Round 7/Final....so I feel it is only mandatory that I do this. Ummm, hello Billboard Top 50 charter.
The RESULTS:
Securing their 4th place non-existing trophy and prize was the newly- welcomed BX Queens with 31 points.
Our series regulars - Gangrene Gang took home 3rd prize with 40 points.
Just barely edging them out were our 2nd place winners - OCDC (41 points)
And our first time players and GRAND CHAMPIONS OF THE GAME....
