QUIZ RECAP
Started the game super worried about my 90-year-old grandmother's sudden cancer diagnosis. Ended the game relieved (and not too drunk) that her doctor was confident enough that three rounds of chemo will do the trick. Thank you to all for the powerful vibes tonight -- this will go down in history as the ONLY time thoughts and prayers have ever worked!
The Home Team FINALLY had a lousy night. Not that we would ever wish that upon him, but he needs a humbling experience every once in a while. Especially considering he has his ticket for King Trivia's Marvel themed event, in which he's sure to kick ass, win 50% of ticket sales, and then suddenly become EVERYONE'S best friend come Tuesday the 23rd.
Good Vibes 4 Granny got an extra bonus point for the extra love in Gramma's direction, but it was only good enough for a third place ranking. Not that anyone should complain about winning $10, but Good Vibes had all 10 "C" elements, DOUBLED DOWN, but then at the last minute scratched out the double down and replaced it with a "JK." After agreeing it was EVERYONE'S fault, they'll come back next week and do better.
It was a full blown [friendly] war between Thirsty Pretzels, who just barely didn't know enough to double down on anything, and The Implication, who started out super strong with a Green Day Packers double down, but slowly started dropping the ball as the game progressed. The Implication won first place by the skin of their teeth, and God knows they had to work that $40.
But Thirsty Pretzels couldn't be too bummed -- $20 and a free appetizer/dessert for being the first team to guess Regina King was our dudette of the night? Pfft, they practically eat for free at the Recess Room these days.
