QUIZ RECAP

We had two quizzes smashed all together into one at Blue Lake Tuesday. Five teams entered the arena to compete for Trivia mastery. We had a special set of questions in honor of Napoleon Dynamite to go along with the regular questions.

The teams voted on which set of questions they would answer in round one and they chose the Napoleon Dynamite questions. The Natural Blondes and the Gruesome Twosome both lept out to an early lead, but after only one round, it was still close.

Each team got to choose which pictures to identify for themselves in round two, and the Natural Blondes picked the Napoleon Dynamite pictures, got them all right, and checked the double or nothing box, propelling them way out in front after two rounds.

Everyone got the Napoleon Dynamite round three questions, and after three rounds Natural Blondes still had a commanding lead over the other teams,

In Round Four we read both sets of guess who clues and let the teams answer whichever they preferred. Only The Gruesome Twosome knew Summer Wheatley, and no one knew Usher, but one team did guess Richard Gere, who is neither a character from Napoleon Dynamite nor Usher. After everyone but the Gruesome Twosome lost a point in Round Four, they only trailed Natural Blondes by two points.

The Gruesome Twosome weren't finished with their comeback, and in round five they achieved their own double or nothing, launching them into a practically insurmountable lead, or was it?

The teams got to choose which set of matching questions they would answer, and although Natural Blondes got them all right, they did not check the double or nothing box and did not double their points.

For the final round the teams got to answer both final questions - for a total possible 18 points in the final round! (36 with double or nothing)

After all was said and done, the Gruesome Twosome won first place - Natural Blondes came in second, and Red Hot Trivia Peppers, last week's winners, came in third. What will happen next week? I don't know, but I do know it will be fun.
