QUIZ RECAP

It was a hot and sunny Sunday over at The Woodman Sherman Oaks! Players were glad to beat the heat for a bit and get out of the sun to game on with the trivia.

We had a few first timers, who I think are now on board to keep playing King Trivia! Gotta love when people discover us for the first time and have fun!

Los Unos had the lead in the start by one point. It went back and forth between 4 teams for rounds 2, 3, and 4. Jonesy's humans and Slow Children at Play taking the top two positions and even tying on a few rounds. No one opted to use their double or nothings.

Things were tight, up until the handout round, where only the strong survived. The Bipolar bears jumped up ahead of Los Unos for that one. Some struggled on those literary killers, but others knew every single one!

For the drinking round we played a game called "My buddy went to the bar and ordered..." It is an alphabet memory game. We had a representative of each team come up and stand in a semi-circle. We then started with the letter "S" as suggested by the waiter Enrique, and each had to come up with something you could order at a bar with the next letter of the alphabet, but also had to repeat what everyone had said before them. For instance, "My buddy went to the bar and ordered a margarita.." Next person would say, "My buddy went to the bar and ordered a margarita and nachos," and so forth. It was down to the Bipolar bears and Los Unos who both had amazing memories! In the end, Bipolar bears won the round of drinks.

After the last few rounds, Jonesy's humans took the lead but stayed fairly neck and neck with Slow Children at play. Jonesy's ended up winning, Slow took second, and the Bipolar bears took 3rd .
