Back to the wonderful world of trivia for my second to last time hosting here to find two teams, two couples, and one with two dogs going head to head in tonight's trivia. In the end, Harry Styles blasted the Fire Pups out of the water by nearly a 20 point lead. Great job teams. I will be seeing you next week for my final farewell to the Tilted Mash

Gather 'round boys and girls, and let me tell you the oh so fun hollywood story that is the largest bet in hollywood history. Let me take you back to the 1970s. Steven Speilberg's film "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" was about to be released and was already receivng a lot of buzz. He couldn't help but notice his good freind and fellow fil director, George Lucas, looked a bit nervous. 

Lucas explained that he was nervous about this amazing scifi film that was coming out just before his film .....Star Wars.....and that Lucas was afraid his film would be dwarfed by the success of Close Encounters. So Speilberg made him a deal. Spielberg said that he would give him 2.5% of the box office success of Close Encounters in Exchange for 2.5% of whatever Star Wars made. Close Encouners ended up making just over $304 million in the box office, and Star Wars made $775 million. Adjusting for inflation, this deal meant that the 2.5% cut of Star Wars amounted to $40 million dollars.
