It's kind of fitting that the final round came down to knowledge of the original Super Smash Bros- this was an Underdogs brawl for the ages.

The Dream Team got off to an interesting start with a double or nothing that was so controversial, yours truly had to triple check with management to see if it would fly. One text made the difference and set the course for the night.

From then on, it was a constant tussle between The Dream Team, the Homeless Dude Lovers, and Big Kahuna Burger for the top three, with scores shifting and ranks alternating constantly. In Round Six, even the tied- for-7th teams were only down by nine points.

Then, once Super Smash Brother entered the fray, all hell broke loose.

Teams frantically scribbled, doubling and not doubling, mentally checking and double checking their results. This round would be it: the Final Smash.

In the end, the world turned upside down. For the first time in their Underdogs history, the Number of Homeless Dudes Sean had Blown was a paltry one- saved only by a bonus point after a failed attempt to double.

Even the Big Kahuna Burgers could only save their failed double with a bonus, securing a safe bronze.

In the biggest upset of the night, last place team Moons Over My Sami catapulted themselves with an amazing double and found themselves sitting pretty in silver.

But the greatest victory of them all was our golden champions- The Dream Team confidently seized the opportunity and took the crown with a successful double and bonus- pushing them far and beyond any team, standing above the carnage of four failed doubles.
