Returning champions, A Team Has No Name hit the ground running scoring 5 points in Round 1. But the other teams weren't far behind.
In Round 2, Team Threeve gained some ground getting 7 points for correctly naming all but one of the animated cars.
But when it came to knowing all things "Yellow", A Team Has No Name struck back with a perfect score, padding their lead over the field.
As ever, Round 4 proved to be a bit of a heartbreaker. Team Threeve thought they had it, and submitted their answer right after the 10-point clue. But, they should have hung back with the other teams who waited for more information. The "Guess What?" this week was Starbucks - not Apple - and that cost Team Threeve a point. But, A Team Has No Name and Money Dance snagged 6 points and Sail All Stars took 4 points.
Round 5 can also be tricky, but this week it was almost too tough for our teams. Sail All Stars could only manage one correct answer, while Money Dance was just a smidge better with 2 correct answers.
Round 6 saw our teams bounce back with teams doing a great job of matching the correct "20s" to their historical event.
In our final round, scores were close with just 8 points between first and last place. To end the game, teams needed to name all "big-5" (men's) professional sports teams that call the state of Pennsylvania home. Our teams quickly jotted down the NBA, NHL, NFL and MLB teams in Pittsburgh and Philly, but it was the name of Philadelphia's Major League Soccer team proved to be decider.
In the end, A Team Has No Name took home the top prize with a total of 52 points. Sail All Stars came from behind to finish in 2nd with 40 points. And Money Dance took 3rd with 29 points.
Really glad I was able to fill in and experience a game at UPTOWN HOPHOUSE. They have a great beer selection and the food coming from the kitchen smells AMAZING!!!! Join us next week for another game - Thursday @ 7:00 PM!
