QUIZ RECAP
A large and lively crowd packed the house at Willmore Wine Bar for trivia this Monday, and the competition didn't disappoint on the final trivia night of 2018. Vesparadoes and Grace Needs a Beer started off hot with doubles in the first round, and Try More Harder joined them atop the leaderboard with a doubled second round.
The apparently gentile crowd struggled mightily with a Hannukkuh-themed third round.
For the Cheese Platter round, teams serenaded the bar with their favorite holiday songs, and the Mariah Carey duet by Bar Buddies was declared the winner.
Some failed guesses in the Guess Who round created some separation, then Bar Buddies and Giant James and the Peaches each were perfect in the 5th and 6th round, doubling in the 5th. Bar Buddies tied it up at the end, getting two more toy brands right than Giant James in a controversial round 7 that had the whole bar riled up. Bar Buddies won the tiebreaker, more closely guessing the sales of Kenny G's 1994 Christmas album. Grace Needs a Beer missed making it a three-way tie by one point, finishing in 3rd; and Try More Harder and Vesparadoes rounded out the top 5, all within 5 points of the winner.
