How does the game work?
Our trivia game consists of 7 rounds, including a Picture round, a Guess Who round, and General Knowledge rounds.
The Quizmaster hosts the game by asking the questions while players submit their answers through our King Trivia® Webapp, gaining points for each question they get right.
At the end of the last round, scores are tallied and the winning team is announced!
What are the rules?
There are three simple rules to trivia:
- NO shouting answers
- NO outside sources
- THE QUIZMASTER IS ALWAYS RIGHT
These rules are pretty easy to follow, but if you’re caught breaking one, it’s up to the Quizmaster’s discretion on how to handle it.
How do I submit answers?
Visit http://play.kingtrivia.com . Once you log in your host will supply you with a game code. Questions will be displayed once your host reads them aloud and you will then be prompted to submit your answers.
Does it cost money to play?
King Trivia® is a free event! But most venues require a drink and/or food purchase per player.
How do I start a team?
Register your team right here on our site! You can add players, upload a team photo, and keep track of your scores and rankings.
Do I have to play with the same team every week?
Heck no! You can play on multiple teams (just not on the same night).
What kind of categories will be featured?
Everything! You like movies? We got movies! You like sports? We got sports! You like underground jazz-influenced mud wrestling badgers? We just might have a question about them too! We try to have a little bit of something for everybody.
What are the prizes if my team wins?
Prizes are determined by each individual bar and restaurant. Usually it’s gift cards to the venue. Sometimes they even come with a hearty handshake and respect. And, of course, bragging rights until the next game.
