QUIZ RECAP

Our second week ever at G34.3 Brewing Company started off with a pizza party and a book club joining our night!

When I arrived, a friend of the bar was having her birthday pizza celebration with her friends, and a small group of local librarians were having their weekly book club. Both groups decided to join in the fun, and the book club even decided to stop their discussion for the evening to fully focus on their chances at victory!

A few highlights from our Thursday night:

A small, impromptu karaoke-style sing-along broke out when Smashmouth's "All-Star" came on between rounds. Always a good time 😂

Although spelling doesn't count most of the time, everyone had a good time trying to figure out the spelling of "Snuffleupagus" and "Jagermeister".

We only had 1 use of the double-or-nothing, when the librarians (team name Comfortably Dumb) were sure they had all of round 5 correct, but sadly missed one answer!

MY personal favorite moment was the small lecture I received from the biology major who wanted to know how specific she needed to be about her answer for "protozoa".

In the end, it was a close night, but The Oddballs won for the 2nd week in a row, insuring that some teams will return JUST to see them dethroned!

QUIZ RECAP

Our first night of King Trivia at G34.3 Brewing Company was an absolute blast!

We started the night strong with 6 solid teams, all ready to play from the get go, all excited for the chance to win the prizes at stake: 25% off your tab for 1st place, or 10% of your tab for 2nd place!

With a soundtrack of 80's and 90's rock/pop jams behind us, and beer flowing strong, we began the first game ever at this venue.

Some highlights from the night:

Round 2 was our picture round, which was themed this week to have the teams identify Greek and Greek-American figures by their pictures. Most did very well, but luckily we did NOT score by spelling on this one 😂

This weeks "Guess What" round seemed particularly difficult in the early clues, but did not stop our teams from making some very solid guesses early in the round!

But I think the best part of the night was how it ended.

Kellen's Booty had been leading the scoreboard the whole night, while The Oddballs were consistantly in the middle of the pack, but when the dust cleared on the final round, Oddballs had gotten all the answers correct AND used their double or nothing, tying them for 1st with Kellen's Booty, while The Owners and Hinton were now tied for 3rd!

We ran the tie-breaker question, and The Oddballs came from behind and won the night!

A sweet victory, and a great time had by all teams!
