QUIZ RECAP

We missed Maddie again a second week in a row but thank you so much for letting me run the game in your place!!

Everyone had loads of fun with the very creative Morgan Freeman video round and our Tiki Tiki Tiki Room team of course had a ball with the Disney Dads handout! They doubled down in Round 6 and immediately jumped from 33 to 53 points -- and were untouchable from there.

We had a lotta ties going on all night, from four-way ties to three-way ties and even for the final round, it came neck and neck with 44 points apiece for both They Can't Stop All of Us and Curieux. They Can't Stop All of Us sailed forward with the lead for second place, guessing a closer number for the gross for Spy Kids 4-D.

I regaled everyone with plenty of Ryan Gosling trivia for the Drinking Round -- asking what his highest grossing movie worldwide is and the number.

Shout-out to Back Buckets for naming the movie correctly -- Moonlight, oh wait they meant La La Land 😀 and guessing 400 million! Yes, the worldwide gross unadjusted for ticket price inflation was a whopping 446.1 million.

Huge shout-out too, for Tiki Tiki Tiki Room's rad drawing skillzzz -- your illustrations made my night. See pic attached. (Thanks for trying with Britney, too!)

Nice Jewish Boys started off strong and totally dominated with their Seattle knowledge, too, finding that connection suuuuper quickly before any of the questions were even repeated!

Oh yeah and one team guessed Baby Hulk Hogan for our picture round -- and now I can't stop seeing that.

Cheers to all the Britney songs that were more obscure but still made the Top 10 on Billboard's Top 100!

And ending trivia tonight on a high note, we only have one thing to say --

Gimme More (Trivia).

QUIZ RECAP

We missed Maddie a ton -- but everyone sends their love and Tuesday night trivia consisted of a lot of things that reminded us of our beloved regular Quizmaster M. Like the...High School Musical clip in our very infectiously catchy video round for musicals adapted from movies!

Many thought the HSM musical was actually Mean Girls. No way -- that was Sharpay!

And another big stumper was definitely American Psycho the musical -- which most (including myself) thought was Magic Mike. I mean, there seemed to be money flying around on that stage in the clip...

Lois & the Argonauts ran away from the competition with their early lead, doubling down for the Video Round -- and once again getting all the matching right for War Songs in musicals. What can I say? They're the musical pros and it shows.

Okay, I'll stop rhyming now.

They triumphantly took first place with a whopping 71 points, followed by Curieux in second with 44 points, and Eat Me! I'm a Danish in third with 41 points. Eat Me! I'm a Danish also won the Drinking Round -- guessing the closest number to how many times the MLB World Series has gone into a Game 7. (Yup ya girl Sanyee loves her baseball season and baseball trivia!)

ScarJo movies also proved to be mind-boggling but everyone managed to guess Frida Kahlo right from the start -- we never even made it to the 6-point clue!

Most important question -- who won the Dems debate last night? Well, that's up for discussion.

But...what I can say is that we were all winners for playing trivia at 33 Taps (with delicious kombucha on draft)~ see you all next week!

We had so much fun at 33 Taps this week.
We had lots of new teams that were welcomed by our regulars with open arms and friendly competition.

Our wait staff was on point as always with delicious food and drinks. And honestly, the sunset was really lovely, but that's not technically a trivia thing. But we did enjoy it!
