About Anacapa Brewing Co

 

Danny has worked at the Anacapa Brewery since it opened back in 2000 and officially became the new owner as of May 1st 2007.  Danny was raised in a family owned restaurant & has over 31 years of restaurant experience.

 

As the owner of the Brewery, Danny’s goal is to continue providing Ventura with a great selection of handcrafted ales, a menu of delicious and original meals and a warm friendly meeting place. Whether in a suit and tie or shorts and flip flops, you will always feel welcomed by our familiar staff of long term employees. You will feel right at home in the Anacapa’s 120 year old beautifully restored brick building, with multiple HD TVs & warm decor. Making it a great place to meet with friends to catch the game or just to unwind after work.

 

Our walls are a feast for the eyes too.  Natalie Sieman is Anacapa’s own Art Curator,  keeping our walls filled with the works of hot local artist. We feature a new artist every six weeks.

 

Brewer-Jason Coudray

 

Our brewer Jason Coudray has just recently joined our team in October 2010 .  His passion for beer allows him to create a lineup that is always changing with respect to traditional styles and innovative brewing.   His obsession to create the perfect pint ensures that the future of Anacapa Brewing Company is in good hands.  He looks forward to having a pint with you.

Good turnout at Anacapa Brewing Co on Wed.night.There was some close positioning throughout, but 1st, 2nd, and 3rd were settled fairly early. It was just a matter of who would flinch the least.

ABC 123, Red 5, and SOAP! all had successful doubles in round 2 and held serve for the top places through the remainder of the game. After round 3, Red had a 1-pt lead and then dropped that point in the Guess Who round. This opened the door for ABC, who scored the highest of the round with 8, and Soap! with 6, as they moved into 1st & 2nd, respectively.

All 3 were perfect in round 5, but only ABC and Red dared the double, pushing Soap! back to 3rd. All maintained those places, nearly scoring identically the rest of the way. Here for the Drinks also had a good double in round 5, vaulting them up close to the conversation. However they needed to be flawless in 6 & 7 to overtake any of the top 3.

Great game this night! Congrats to ABC 123 for maintaining their stranglehold on 1st Place!

Three teams managed to successfully double down in the first two rounds, but SOAP! was the only team that managed to double down for three straight rounds to open up the game. After that some teams were able to get close, but no one could catch them. Red 5 had some late game gains to come in Second Place. They were only 1 point ahead of Vals Pals. The double down was crucial this game and all of the top teams had at least one successful double down.
