QUIZ RECAP

Ah, trivia. So dramatic! House faves LORDZ & QWEENZ had a rocky relationship with doubling tonight, but they won the drinking round so many would say that's just as good. Each team had to invent and name a drink, and bartender Chris had "decider power" to pick the most palatable creation. Since he took off with the recipe to the "Halle Berry", let's just say it involved blackberries and vodka. Yum! The other concoctions (see pics) didn't sound bad either, guess we'll have to make those on our own. Though the "Unicorn Whizz Fizz" and the "Grizzly Bear Is Here" are both pretty involved. My money is on the "Stormy Daniels", I think I'll make one while I write this 😉

Competish was ferocious as usual, newcomers from across the pond LOREN'S PALS were dancing back and forth with the LORDZ all night until they had a late successful double down. CHIP & DALE were our "prettiest" team this week, but those ladies are no Ukranian quitters. In fact, when PULL FROM THE FRONT won the night they split their booty with them - 1st prize was 2 bottles of wine, 2nd & 3rd was one nice bottle. It's all about love at Bof V...

Special shout out to the LORDZ - go big or go home! - they doubled the last round as a Hail Mary last resort and though they didn't win, they never, NEVER say die. See everyone next week!

QUIZ RECAP

Last night's trivia smackdown at Bank of Venice was sponsored by Aviation Gin, who provided the "SurPRIZES" for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. They were GOOD too, booze swag of mostly miniature and full size bottles of gin. LORDZ & QWEENZ kept The Trivians from completely running away with the night, but Trivians knowledge of all things Africa was just unstoppable. Dom's Angels were the "prettiest" team this week, tourist cuties from out of town just there to give the game some millennial spiciness. And Brothers and Sisters finished a very solid 3rd and earned the Mardi Gras-esque bag of goodies.

The "verboten" question practically caused anarchy. I'm just the messenger guys! Add it to your vocabulary - better lives thru trivia 😉

Since Aviation Gin was hosting drink specials and general meowiness, the drinking round was to compose a poem about Aviation Gin and perform it, to an applause vote at the end. All the "poetry" was profound - see photos! But Brothers and Sisters were a defo shut out, mostly based on that amazing existential performance. Well done you guys! You have a very interesting brain.

QUIZ RECAP

It was raining for real in Venice last night, the participants were dogged though at BofV. Newcomers TEAM ALEX were defo in contention for the crown until they had to leave early - thanks so much for the scotch you guys. It was tasty! Come back when you can stay up 'til 9p 😉

TACOS & TEQUILA were on a cute meet, I think they were getting to know each other through trivia. What better way, I ask you? They were back and forth the "prettiest" team with HOUSEWIVES OF VENICE until they had to bail, then E NORMA STIZ showed up and played random rounds...just enough to stir the waters. They ended the night with 7 points in the game but an effload of style points. Hope they come back!

But the real head to head was house regs LORDS & QWEENZ vs. MITCH, PLEASE! (These guys change their name every week but swear they might keep this one awhile, at least until the gov't. opens back up 😉 Both teams had early successful doubles, and a couple of rounds they shoulda doubled but didn't. In round 6 they were tied at 61-61. I seems perfect that the measure of the team was how many Will Farrell movies they could each come up with, and LORDZ & QWEENZ were once again triumphant. This is important knowledge people! Knowledge that will win you glory and $20! Well done, both a ya. Come mix it up again next week!
