It was great to be back at Barney's after missing the last 2 weeks for holiday travel.

Guaranni Princesses looked to be staging a runaway until Urban Achievers made a successful score tying double in Round 7 and won the tiebreaker! Also a strong showing by the Bad News Barristers to capture 3rd place!

QUIZ RECAP

What a GREAT night at Barney's Pasadena Thursday night! Well, okay, sure, it's ALWAYS a great night at Barney's. But this week's quiz was extra magical somehow.

Now we could pay tribute to the formidable team that calls themselves Pasadena Peeps. They tasted victory once again (though by only a single point over the Big Buck Hunters!) Or we could focus on the fierce battle for third place between Free Radicals (who won in a tie-breaker) and Millard Fillmore, Demon Hunter © ) - {Note the copyright, team name copycats!}

But today, we salute last-place finishers The Whole ½ Yards, who courageously went for the double in the 5th round, and lost...doubled in the 6th round, and lost...and doubled in the 7th round, and yep, you guessed it, lost!

That kind of tenacious relentlessness in the face of disappointment and heartbreak exemplifies the fighting spirit of a true champion, and is a pretty good metaphor for the kind of dauntless determination we ALL need in the face of a tough year like 2016!

Happy New Year, one and all! 2017 is gonna be MUCH better. As the late and lamented George Michael said so beautifully, ya just gotta have Faith.

A tight, oh-so-competitive game at Barney's Pasadena saw Pasadena Peeps and The Really, Really, REALLY Good-Looking Christmas Sweaters go neck-and-neck right down to the wire! But in the end, those Jeepin', Creepin' Peepers won the night!
