QUIZ RECAP

I've started to get to know some players recently. I've been learning names and there was a fun moment when a player from PhilosoRaptors asked if I could repeat a question to which I responded, "I always do, Greg."

Got a few compliments for my playlist tonight, particularly a song from the Willow soundtrack, which some people recognized. Glad to finally play something from this fantastic score, thanks to the Willow Smith question!

Pasadena Peeps stayed on top of the leaderboard all game and had a perfect game going for most rounds, successfully doubling on all but two. Congrats to them, We Get Buckets, and newcomers (or been a whiles) Giant's Milk for Ghost who also won the drinking round!

A full night with lots of teams and players. In honor of Nessie first being reported at Loch Ness on this date, I had them come up with as many cryptids as they could for the drinking round. Kudos to Da Bears for getting the most right (those Jersey Devils!) and for donating the pitcher to the last place team.

Some back and forths onpoints resulted with Team Obi-Wan doubling big in the last round for a mighty close match, grats!

The points changed the leaders several times tonight, which made for an exciting game. Round 5 was a killer, all teams except 3 doubled down, and all were unsuccessful. Two brutal questions fooled the teams, the first and most diabolical, ended up being a grizzly bear (ursos arctos horribilis) rather than a polar bear, which is what the teams guessed. Only one team got this right. The second one was a Tony Kushner play in which Nathan Lane won a Tony for a revival in 2018. Only one or two teams got it right. Congrats to Purple Monkey Dishwasher (Also winners of the drinking round, thank you to my host Michael Miller from Tuesday's at the Tam o Shanter for letting me use his Coachella round) for a giant double in the final round to win the game!
