It was a heck of a farewell show for this humble quizmaster!

Da Bears jump ahead with a big load right out of the gate, with the peeps falling behind from an unsuccessful double down. And after Felicity Jones fooled almost half of the teams, things got a little weird for the drinking round

Steve sleeve was able to pull through the weirdness of the round (with a little help from Da Bears) and got a pitcher of beer to drown the memory of the Weird Al songs I forced everyone to listen to!

Then, as the rounds went on, the Peeps slowly crept up behind Da Bears and ended up challenging their lead to you with them at the very end! It all came down to a single 3-point shot that DaBears missed by about 495 inches.

Thank you to everyone who made all of my trivia nights special. You all have been a blast to host, and I'll remember these nights fondly.

QUIZ RECAP

It was a great and festive night for trivia!

Right off the bat there was a 5-way tie for first, and as teams slowly peeled away and down to lower places, one hero stood alone at the top, the Purple Monkey Dishwashers!

Then the town of trivia was suddenly invaded by a gaggle of 15 santas, some of which had me sit on their lap, some of which were eager to get wine-drunk, but one Spanish Santa was deemed worthy of getting drunk with her Calchones!

Then after a rather confusing round 5, the Pasadena Peeps came ahead and looked like they were going to take the prize, when suddenly, from out of nowhere, the Santas (all now played by famous actors) propelled the Dishwashers to victory! and they also helped two broke moms earn a respectable third place.

It was a holiday-themed trivia party with good times had all around, and it was a joy of a second-to-last night of trivia for one particular quizmaster

QUIZ RECAP

Wooo, crowded and exciting night at Barney's Beanery Pasadena! Tons of folks out partying and showing their knowledge on this holiday fest eve.

It was anybody's game for most of the night as round 1 brought 5 5s, 2 12s and 2 4s. then round 2 brought us 7 teams got 16 points each! It was a night of successful double downs and devastating smarts!

Pasadena Peeps kicked butt all through the game, even with a 4 for round 3. That lost their lead to Honey Mustard Gas momentarily, but they got it right back. The Peeps were leading by a point the rest of the night until round 7 made them tie. A tie breaking question put it over the top, and boom! Honey Mustard Gas for the win! No one saw that coming! Pasadena Peeps got second!

Da Bears won third and the drinking round as we asked for folks to sing their favorite holiday or other song and the bearded guy from Da Bears wowed us with, not a holiday song, but a crazy and apropos drinking song all about getting drunk and doing crazy things and forgetting where you were and what you were doing. Obviously I neve heard it before, but it was funny as all heck, and even though Philosoraptors gave us a great rendition of Feliz Navidad, Quiztopher Walken's lovely songbird sang fabulously, and Pasadena Peeps made us laugh with a funny drinking song hilariously executed, I had to give it to Da Bears. So they got a free pitcher of beer and third place!

I Quiz in Your General Direction, Super Weenie Dog and Quiztopher Walken threatened all night to take the win, and Poop Poop Poopie, Booze Cats and It's Beagles All the Way Down were not far behind, it was a night of stiff competition and holiday trivia fun, fun, fun!
