QUIZ RECAP

WELL! I never. It was the end of term at our local school, UCLA, you probably haven't heard of it. I suppose since term was over, all the students rushed home to their familial seats to pay tribute to the elders before the chains of a long winter lock us all away. Oh, it's still finals? They left our night of quizzes to go take...big tests, more knowledge flexing? Wow...I... I'm just so proud.

The nine (that's right, NINE) teams who stayed true of heart to trivia came forth with a fury of trivial knowledge that left no quarter for their opponents. The Cheetah Girls were in attendance, and, to the great pride of their quizmaster, pulled out all the stops and Launched themselves to second place on the podium, ahead of Milo's Christmas Playlist and just behind tonight's winners Family Guy Funniest Moments Compilation 7

Tonight's King Trivia at Barney's Beanery was more intense than a Thanksgiving football game or a Thanksgiving dinner table argument over the deeper meaning of celery.

Sir Digby Chicken Caesar and Thankstriving were turkey neck and neck throughout the evening until a strong Round 6 allowed the knighted salad to pull ahead.

Hoe Hoe Hoe and RBG Dog Version forced each other into the sweet potato casserole that is the tie-breaker. Hoe Hoe Hoe were able to put that extra dollop of whipped cream on their pumpkin pie.

What a FUN night. Roughly 500 brave souls (these numbers are rough) braved a light Los Angeles drizzle to compete for the title of trivia champion. I'll be the first to say that I had no idea how things were gonna go.

The real headline of the evening is I gave the teams 2 minutes to draw me a turkey for the drinking round, and PhySci won by giving me a horrifying barbecue sauce handprint. They went on to win 3rd place, and probably the democratic debate.

What a night.
